Griffin Media is a Media Buying and Media Strategy company that specializes in in-depth market research and effective media placement, having completed 20 years of service to its clients. Margaret Griffin, President of Griffin Media, offers 29 years experience in media buying, planning and scheduling, having negotiated and bought it all!

Margaret came into the world of advertising in 1982 as a media assistant for an ad agency in upstate New York. By 1987, Margaret had been promoted to both partner and media director. In 1992, she started her own ad agency where she always kept her hand in media buying and placement. The bulk of her clients were local or regional retailers, where Margaret worked closely with the owner. Her passion remained however with analyzing ratings, trends, negotiating and working closely with clients to get the most effective placement schedules.

Early in her career, Margaret became involved in charity work, often donating her media skills for a good cause, which earned her several awards including a citation for "Outstanding Citizenship" from the New York State Assembly. She was also awarded a special recognition from Dave Thomas of Wendy's for her work in special needs adoption.

In 1998, Margaret aligned herself with various creative agencies and focused entirely on media buying. During this time, she moved the business to Charlotte, NC, and thus Griffin Advertising evolved into Griffin Media . At the time Margaret was working with companies like Wendy's International and John Deere, along with ad agencies hiring Griffin Media for regional media planning.

Media placement is becoming more complicated with the changing times, shifting demographics and huge advances in technology. For an owner-operated retailer, purchasing media requires adequate information and a seasoned professional. You can't fake it anymore and hope to get by with OK results.
